Apocalypticon 2012 - 250.000!!!!

С 2010 года в США проводится один из самых крупных ивентов по апоку, на ровне с такими мероприятиями, как  Siegeworld и Apoc-Eclipse в рамках The Big Game. 

В 2010 году ребята собрали около 80.000 за одним большим столом, в этом году они хотят собрать очередной рекорд - 250.000.  Пройдет битва с 10-ого по 11-ого августа, в Гамильтоне, Онтарио. Страничка ивента - http://www.apocalypti-con.com/

Игра начнется в 5 часов вечера в пятницу и будет длится до 9 часов, на следующий день битва начинается в 8-30 и предположительно закончится в 9 вечера. Кстати, очень удобный формат.  


  • Each participant must bring at least 3,000 points.
  • The miniatures must be from the same army. Space Marine Chapters can be combined. Imperial Guard and Space Marines can be combined. Chaos Daemons and Chaos Space Marines can be combined.
  • The miniatures must be fully assembled and at least primed. We strongly encourage having your army painted, but it is not required.
  • You MUST be able to stay the entire time (i.e. Friday 5pm to 9pm, Saturday 8:30am until it finishes).

We're going to have a set of house rules for our yearly Apocalypse games.

These will mainly focus on what abilities carry over to Super-Heavies / Gargantuans, but may include other things as well, such as banned formations.

What I need you to do is submit your ideas of what you think should not work in Apocalypse.

For example, Mindshackle Scarabs will NOT work on Gargantuan creatures.

Once you have submitted your ideas (and your case for banning or not banning) I will update this main post with all submitted ideas, and whether they will be banned or not banned.

Here is the list so far:

Powers / Abilities that DON'T work on Super-Heavies / Gargantuan creatures (unless they specifically say they do)

-ANY rules that states to simply remove the model as a casualty or from play with no saves allowed -> this will instead do D3 wounds / structure damage
-ANY rule that repairs a vehicle
-ANY rule that grants a cover save (except for normal cover rules)

Mindshackle Scarabs
Entropic Strike - reduces armor on a 6+, not a 4+; does not work on Gargantuans

-any Chaos power that does not have a Strength associated with it

Powers / Abilities that DO work on Gargantuans / Super Heavies

Space Marines
Pedro Kantor - Inspiring Presence
Null Zone

Banned Formations

Chaos Conclave

Limited Formations

Imperial Guard
Deathstrike Vortex Missile - limited to one per player

Super Heavies Going Critical

I propose we add a rule (as suggested by others) where you add the current turn number to the die rolls when super heavies roll on the Destroyed table.
